SPIRIT, SPEAK AGAIN by
Hank Beebe An anthem for Pentecost with both music and text written by this
well-known and respected composer of choral works.A strong melody characterizes this, and
it is sung in unison with all parts at the beginning. It then does so imitative patterns
between SA and TB, and then on to full SATB moving homophonically. The piano accompaniment
for much of it has an eighth-quarter-eighth note syncopated pattern in the left hand.
Tonal. No surprises. Very singable by small choirs. SATB/Piano or keyboard. Medium VOR018C01
