AS BEFORE HIS TABLE Gabriel Faure AS BEFORE HIS TABLE Gabriel Faure Communion anthem.
SATB/Organ/Soprano or Tenor Solo VOR92C01OUR FATHER by Hank Beebe A setting of the Lord's Prayer
with beautiful, flowing lyric lines handled contrapuntally for SATB with piano or
keyboard. VOR18C02. $1.25
SPIRIT, SPEAK AGAIN by Hank Beebe An anthem for Pentecost
with both music and text written by a well-known and respected composer of choral works.
SATB with piano or keyboard acc.VOR18C01.SATB. $1.25
THE MEASURE OF MY DAYS by Hank Beebe Mr. Beebe uses Psalm
39:4-8 for the text in this anthem. He writes in his usual style of mixing unison singing
with three and four part harmonies. In this piece the piano accompaniment is mainly large,
full chords in the right hand, with a rhythmic pattern in the left hand. Small choirs
would be comfortable with this; it stays within a moderate vocal range in all parts.
VOR18C04. $1.25
TO DO JUSTLY by Hank Beebe On a text from Micah 6:8, To
Do Justly is easily "do-able" by a small church choir. Mr. Beebe does not
go to extremes in range for any of the four voice parts. There is some imitative treatment
of the beginning theme between the men and women, and some chordal writing with rich
harmonies. The piano accompaniment is with a flowing eighth-note pattern with traditional
harmonic changes.VOR18C03. $1.25
THE HEAVENS ARE TELLING by Anne Klanderman Frost An
expressive, contemporary piece featuring a colorful organ part. Text from Psalm 19. Fairly
demanding for both choir and organ. SATB.VOR11C01 $1.25.
THE BIRDS by David C. Hogg On a poem by Hilaire Belloc,
("When Jesus Christ was four years old, the angels brought Him toys of gold")
this is wonderful for the Christmas season, though not limited to that. With challenging
choral parts and organ or piano accompaniment, this won the 1992 CMEA Colorado Composers'
Award. SATB/Organ or Piano. Medium VOR02C03. $1.25
CONSIDER THE LILIES by David C. Hogg An extended
contrapuntal setting of the Matthew 28 text for SATB with organ. Medium Advanced
VOR02C05 $1.25
MAY THE LORD by David C. Hogg In parts fugue-like and in
parts as a homophonic chorale, with organ accompaniment, this is a full-length setting of
the famous benediction. Another long, masterfully written "amen" at the end. Meduim
advanced SATB/Organ or Piano VOR02C01 $1.25
SURELY GOODNESS by David C. Hogg The text is from the last
part of the Twenty-third Psalm, and Hogg's usual mature choral writing teams here with an
interesting organ (or piano) accompaniment. SATB VOR02C02 $1.25
THEREFORE WITH ANGELS by David C. Hogg An artfully done anthem on a sacred text with almost Bach-like choral writing and an interesting organ (or piano) accompaniment. Another wonderful "amen" finishes this piece. SATB. VOR02C04 $1.25
FOREVER, O LORD, THY WORD WILL ENDURE by Pat Holmberg

rich harmonies and interesting voice leading, strong melodies carry the text from Psalms.

SING PRAISES UNTO THE LORD by Pat Holmberg A short and
relatively easy anthem. Two-part contrapuntal beginning and ending and a chorale-style

done a'cappella. VOR01C04. $1.25
THY TRUTH ENDURES TO ALL GENERATIONS by Pat Holmberg
Written for a high school choir which likes pieces "with a beat", this has a
Biblical text, is tonal, and is a "high energy" pice with a driving jazz beat.
Part of The Church Cantata. Medium VOR01C07e $1.25
TO HIM BE THE GLORY by Pat Holmberg Beginning with a
hymn-like melody, this evolves into an optional congregational singing of the hymn melody
with an added soprano descant in the choral part. Near the end there is a lovely treatment
of the benediction from the chapter of Jude in the Bible. This is part of The Church
Cantata. Medium SSAATBB/Piano (Orchestra Prt. Avail) VOR01C07j $1.50

SPIRITUS SANCTUS by Patrick Rooney With an original Latin
text (Mater Deus, pater Deus, accuptis frater meus si placis et spiritus sanctus......)
this was written by Mr. Rooney upon hearing of the death of his brother in the Gulf War.
It could be used in a memorial service and also in concert. The music is Gregorian
chant-like, with modal, open harmonies. Accompanied only by Tibetan cymbals and wind
chimes. A very moving, effective piece.
